5 Energy Foods

Foods are our body's fuel.  Skip your meal and fatigue sets in quickly. But don't just eat because you are hungry.  The food you consume determines your energy level. Here are 5 foods that can help you have feeling more energized all day long.

1. Water.
This is an often overlooked performance enhancing supplement. More than 70% of our body is made out of water. All of the body main organs needs adequate water to function. Depriving it of water makes it works harder and this in turn takes extra energy. By keeping yourself hydrated, you are ensuring your body's vital organ runs smoothly and this will make you feeling energized through-out the day.

2. Oatmeal.
This is a food that is rich in high quality complex carbohydrates and energy boosting vitamin Bs. It is also a source of soluble fiber.

3. Seeds.
Seeds such as flax, hemp, quinoa and chia, provide minerals, antioxidants, omega-3 and healthy fats.

4. Banana.
Bananas are rich in potassium.  And potassium is important because it keeps your nervous system functioning properly. Potassium also balances your blood ph level and help in muscle building.

5. Fish.
 Cold water fish such as salmon, mackerel and herring provide excellent omega-3 supply. Besides being among a few foods that can supply Vitamin D, they are also rich in complete protein, magnesium, potassium and energy boosting vitamin B.
